Thursday Night Surprise!

Today I was at work when Rickard instant messaged me that he had a surprise for me - Laker tickets for tonight's game! I was totally not expecting this since we JUST went to see a Clipper game last week. But, we found ourselves back at Staples Center again tonight!

This time it was a much better game since the Lakers killed the Timberwolves! Kobe and the team were on fire!

Going to Laker games has to be one of my favorite parts about living in Los Angeles! After the game we went to grab some food and In N Out - which is most definitely another favorite about Los Angeles! Those animal style fries get me everytime.

What a wonderful, random Thursday night! Cheers to going out on weekday nights!

Countdown to Vegas...

The Las Vegas Strip
This Saturday Rickard and I are headed out to Las Vegas for a few days! I am literally counting down the days.

We go to Vegas every year, but this year is special because we get to see Rickard's dad who will also be in the city. It's also special because we are taking our puppy since our hotel allows little dogs!

At the moment, our hotel is booked, but I'm still looking for suggestions on what restaurants to try out. I like eating in the hotel/casino restaurants, but I also think it may be a good idea to try some "off the beaten track" restaurants. Please let me know if you have any suggestions! :)

Photos from our trip to Vegas last year can be found here and here.

::Oscar Party::

my coffee table & the voting ballots.
Yesterday we had a couple of our closest friends come over for a little Oscar viewing party. We had cheese and crackers, homemade bread (thanks to Rickard's new breadmaker) and prosciutto, and oven-cooked crispy dumplings.

We printed out Oscar voting ballots, and had fun seeing who would be the most correct in their choices. Turns out that Rickard won!

Did you watch the Oscars? Did your favorites win? I'm so happy that Jennifer Lawrence and Life of Pi won in their categories. It was also sweet to see Ben Affleck's Argo get Best Picture.

She is my favorite. (Jennifer Lawrence)

A Double Digit Birthday

Last week was my baby sister's birthday and she turned 10 years old. I can't believe she is in double digits already! She was born when I was in high school and her turning 10 makes me feel veryyy old all of a sudden.

Rickard made her a chocolate cake with coconut flakes that was so delicious. We celebrated the birthday with a family trip to the bowling alley, followed by a nice dinner at  BJ's. Boy, are those pizookies ahh-mazing. :)

Happy birthday to you, Hinna.

Valentine's Day

2010: Usher concert
It's hard to believe that Rickard and I have known each other almost 5 years now, and married for one and a half of those wonderful 5 years.

The thing with my husband is...pretty much since the moment I have met him, my life has been full of joy. He really saved me in so many ways and has treated me all this time as every girl should be treated.

Thank you for filling my life with so much happiness, Rickard. You are perfect for me in every which way.

What I Have Been Up To... [Instagram Photos]

What have I been up to in the last one and half months of 2013?
  • A Mexican belated honeymoon with my husband
  • Celebrating a friend's birthday at Mignon Wine Bar in Los Angeles
  • Love/hate relationship with Cookie Butter (found at Trader Joes). On one hand, it's just total cookie deliciousness in a jar. On the other hand, just don't look at the nutritional information!
  • Trying to get back into working out -- I was really into running and the gym over the summer, but have found a "cold weather" slump these days. Hoping to get back in the routine moving forward.

How is 2013 treating you so far?

A Sneak Peak @ NaynaJewelry

So I am super excited to tell everyone about my new head chain jewelry. In 2012, Rickard and I began selling Indian dresses from our home. This year, we have shifted our focus to Indian and boho inspired head jewelry.

Here are some of the pieces we have and I am so happy with how these turned out. I am very proud to have my name attached to this jewelry. These are just a few samples, with more to come! All the jewelry will be in the $10 range, making it very affordable. We hope to be completely stocked next month, just as Coachella rolls around since these would be perfect for the music festival.

We will likely have all these items on eBay, but I am still exploring my options such as Big Cartel, Etsy, etc. If you have any suggestions/tips for some great online shop sites, I would love to hear as we navigate this new project and new product!
